Barry Amato is no stranger to the line dance world as he first burst onto the international scene while producing the Wildhorse Saloon Dance television series out of Nashville Tennessee for the Nashville Network. Due to the popularity of the dance instruction on the show by Barry and his wife, Dari Anne, their segment was edited and syndicated on CMT Europe and Latin America introducing them to the global line dance community.

From there, the pair traveled abroad teaching, choreographing and entertaining at multiple
events. They traveled nearly 45 weekends a year for a total of 10 years after their television
was no longer in production. During that time, the Amatos also hosted the CBA awards for two years and received many nominations as well.

As wonderful as traveling and meeting the dancers around the world had been, they decided to retire from the line dance circuit in 2008 to pursue their prior career of entertainment and
television production. However, they have still maintained contact with the community
throughout the years as it was such an memorable time in their lives.
Since those days, Barry and Dari Anne have produced and choreographed many live musical productions including the show for Dolly Parton’s , “My People My Music”, the story of Dolly’s music and her musical family. Their experience includes choreography for music videos from a wide variety of artists like country great, Pam Tillis to pop sensation, Little Mix.

 

Barry also spent two years as an emcee for the world famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Barry is proud to present “Nashville Unwrapped” on Linedancer Radio. This broadcast will be
an extension from his television series of the same name that is produced for CLIXtv.com out of Hollywood, CA. Dancers will have a chance to enjoy interviews with the stars and songwriters who have brought you the music to some of your favorite dances that you have enjoyed over the years. We will introduce new music being produced as well revisiting some hits that are still being danced to. Be sure to tune into “Nashville Unwrapped” on Friday mornings 10:00am (UK time)
